Entrenchment of Authoritarain Populists in East Germany and the Southern United States

Robert Chandler Hankins is completing his doctoral study through a processual-relational examination of authoritarian populist groups' ability to change around the Liberal International Order for a targetted population in East Germany and the Southern United States. He is a former Fulbright Scholar and FSA Scholar to Germany, and a lifelong Blount Scholars Program fellow. In 2018, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama with a minor in German and Blount Scholars Program. In 2023, he received his Master of Arts in International Relations from The American University School of International Service, where he completed his Tool of Research Exam in German and his Substantial Research Paper on the relational origins of the authoritarian populist movements in East Germany.
