Abstract

Social Anthropologist and research fellow at the Leipzig Lab "Global Health", working on the project "Pandemic Space: Understanding Quarantine and Responsibilization in Times of Corona". Associated with the Research Centre Global Dynamics (ReCentGlobe) at the Leipzig University.

His research interests are on the fields of medical anthropology, urban studies, race and racism, with a regional focus on South Africa.

He is currently working on the dissertation "Responsibilization and Quarantine around COVID-19 in South Africa: a study of social distancing practices in Khayelitsha, Cape Town".
