Despite the rail strike, we managed to travel to Neudietendorf in Thuringia to hold the annual GSGAS winter retreat from 25 to 27 January.
With 30 PhD candidates and 13 supervisors and mentors, 15 projects were presented and discussed. An evening pub quiz provided extracurricular training.
The winter retreat takes place annually at the end of the winter semester and offers an intensive working format and the opportunity to follow the progress of the doctoral students' work and engage in dialogue with each other.
