Judith Zimmermann is officer for the strategic development of knowledge transfer and innovation in the unit for strategic projects and legal issues at the Department for Research and Transfer.
One of her key tasks is to link transfer strategy, research profile development and university development planning, as well as the development of appropriate transfer instruments for the diverse disciplines of Leipzig University. In doing so, the integration and bundling of the transfer potential of large-scale research projects and centres plays a special role.
Previously, Judith Zimmermann was research coordinator of several collaborative research projects at Leipzig University for many years. Already in her science-historical doctorate "'Socialism is active sociology.' Religion, Politics and Society in the Life and Work of Robert Hertz", she dealt with the social effectiveness of academic research.
