ReCentGlobe provides its research areas with an infrastructure that can be used jointly by all. In this way, the centre supports interdisciplinary collaboration between the individual departments. The infrastructure is bundled into three labs: Lab for Transregional Cooperation, Digital Lab and Lab for Knowledge Transfer.
Cooperation Lab
Our centre collaborates with research teams in Germany and abroad on its projects. The Lab for Transregional Cooperation offers a virtual research environment for organising joint conferences and workshops, sharing data for collaborative analysis, producing joint publications and archiving research data.
Digital Lab
Against the backdrop of comprehensive digitisation processes, research approaches that work with digital data, tools and methods, as well as the coordinated collection and cross-project use of research data, are becoming increasingly important for the humanities, cultural and social sciences. This requires further training and dialogue as well as appropriate equipment and infrastructure. The Digital Lab headed by Prof Manuel Burghardt is the place where these endeavours are coordinated at ReCentGlobe.
Transfer Lab
ReCentGlobe connects research and knowledge transfer in a variety of ways. The range of transfer services includes policy advice, advice for companies and start-ups as well as dialogue and further training opportunities for urban and regional civil society. With its publications, ReCentGlobe regularly informs the expert and general public about the results of its work. Our research centre engages in intensive science communication with a wide range of postings for social media.
