Global Flows, Local Impacts: Analysing the Influence of Julius Berger Construction Company on Employment Dynamics in Lagos

I am a DAAD scholar and doctoral candidate at the Institute of African Studies, with an academic background in History and Diplomatic Studies. My research focuses on social history, urban development, labour migration, and the legacies of colonial and post-colonial governance in West Africa. Through my research, I aim to deepen the understanding of the historical processes that shape contemporary West African societies, while examining their broader social and economic implications. My scholarly objective is to provide insights that can inform research, policy, and public discourse on these critical issues.
